Mind Over Matter

guess who's now an acquisitions editor?

Yep, it's me! As of last night, I've been offered the honor of being the AQ editor for Narrow Road Publishing, an imprint of Sheaf House Publishing. For those of you playing at home, you'll recall SH is the house that's doing my apocalypse-with-a-twist novel Heading Home, which comes out August, 2010.

Narrow Road will be looking to fill an even grittier niche, and will be publishing novels that, while containing a Christian worldview, will not be overtly Christian (think of Dean Koontz's works these past few years; that'll give you an idea).

Right now the slots for 2011 are filled (unless we see something that "knocks our hats in the creek", as my granny used to say), and we won't be actively opening the doors for manuscripts until after the holidays.

I'll have more to say on this during the coming days, of course, so as they say, watch this space! *G*
